I hope you are all doing well and enjoying playing Final Overs. It’s been a while since we posted anything new, so in this blog, I’ll highlight all the latest updates, news, and plans for Final Overs.

Final Overs – VR Cricket is FINALLY on the official Meta Horizon Store!

HURRAY!!!

After Meta announced a couple of months ago that it would merge App Lab with the main store, all developers were given a list of requirements, or VRCs, to complete in order to be published on the newly renamed Meta Horizon Store.

We managed this with relative ease, as we had already checked most of the boxes.

The impact of being on the official store is already being felt. We’ve seen a significant boost in sales, and new players are loving the game. They regularly share their valuable feedback and suggestions, and I want to take this opportunity to thank them for their passion and love for Final Overs.

However, we still have many hurdles to overcome. There are a couple of areas where we’re currently facing challenges.

What does this mean for the future? Will development stay halted?

Not at all!

The creators of Final Overs, Mixeal, have recently secured major funding from Accelerate Prosperity. This funding is focused specifically on Final Overs, so you can expect exciting updates in the future that will enhance your VR cricket experience.

What’s more, development hasn’t been entirely paused. We’ve already implemented a few new features and updates. Here’s a rundown:

Improved Timing Meter

We’ve significantly improved the timing meter, which now provides 80% accurate results. But that’s not all! Its accuracy will continue to improve over time with the help of advanced AI mechanisms. This timing meter will help you perfect your shots in Final Overs and improve your batting skills in VR cricket.

AI Coach

Our AI Coach is designed to help you enhance your performance by providing instant, valuable post-match feedback. Powered by OpenAI’s latest GPT-4 Mini, the AI Coach analyzes your batting performance, highlighting both strengths and areas for improvement. It tracks your progress across multiple matches and compares your stats, giving you the insights needed to sharpen your skills for the big matches ahead.

Physics Improvement

We’ve also enhanced the physics in Final Overs. Some players had reported issues with odd boundaries being scored off edges. This has been largely addressed in the latest build.
